Our Team

DEREK SEYMOUR       @derekseymour

Founder & Lead Developer

Derek began programming at age 9. While his peers played video games, Derek would spend his time behind a keyboard hammering away at EXE files. Combining his skills with a life-long passion for weather, he soon put together his first software product on 3½" floppy disks called, "Weather Shortcuts." While he only sold it to family and friends near his hometown of Goldsboro, North Carolina, it was no doubt a valuable experience and a sign of things to come. Today, Derek brings the experience of over 20 years as a software and web developer together with his continued excitement for storms to lead Immersive Weather towards a forecast of clear skies.

Lead Designer

Growing up in Norman, Oklahoma, Michelle is no stranger to severe weather. Her closest encounter with a tornado, only a few miles away, even includes a cow laying in the middle of the road - seemingly straight out of the movie, "Twister." Michelle has a passion for photography and design, and when she isn't out taking pictures of clouds or designing layouts, she enjoys spending time with her husband (above) and their son.
